Previews

Have you ever had to sit through previews at the movie theater so long that you forgot what movie you were going see, eventually?

30 minutes is how long we had to sit through previews and commercials and I actually forgot what movie we were seeing.

It's getting out of hand.

Seriously.

this is why I believe in Netflix. I know, I know...you live in France, and probably can't get Netflix. But I'm not a film purist, like a lot of people. I'll just wait a few months and watch it on dvd without the annoying trailers, the crappy seating or the annoying 13 year olds behind me whispering about how cool they are the whole time. I can't tell you how many times I've said "Hey! Pipe down!" during a movie.

I LOVE previews. Even when I rent a DVD I watch every preview - even for movies that I've already seen. The best is when there's a preview for a movie I've seen and hated, but the preview makes it seem like a great movie. I sit there and analyze how the preview director could make such a great 30-second video from a movie that sucked for 1 hr. 59 min and 30 sec.

We've actually already talked about doing Netflix when we get re-settled in the States.

I actually keep up with previews fairly well thanks to widgets on my Mac. It's just 30 min.s of previews is a bit much, plus they're always the same ones. Sometimes I want a movie to finally come out just so I don't have to see the preview anymore.
